Lieutenant General “Chesty” Puller is remembered for his quick wit and relentless support in the midst of combat, which includes his famous quote, “They’re on our left, they’re on our right, they’re in front of us, they’re behind us... they can’t get away this time.”

LtGen Puller led Marines in 19 missions, including the critical Battle of Inchon and Battle of Chosin Reservoir. His awards include 14 personal decorations in combat, 5 Navy Crosses, a Purple Heart and a long list of campaign medals.

Puller remains the most awarded Marine in the Corps’ history, for his bravery and determination.
